Lynsey Addario is a Pultizer Prize-winning photographer, focusing most of her career photographing wars and disasters around the world.

Marieke Vervoort was a celebrated Paralympic athlete living in extreme pain.

 

In 2019 the two women met and began a nearly 3 year long working relationship, as Addario documented Vervoort's attempt to end her own life by euthanasia.  This is the story of Vervoort's life, death, and the friendship between a photographer and her subject,.
